We took Qatar Airline QR 627 to Doha, before transit to Luxor. Here, we were starting on our journey at Changi Airport T1. :)

Here is our tour guide from Egypt, Mohamed.

On our way back out to the exit of Queen Hatshepsut Temple, this man suddenly jumped onto our tram and started selling the map of Nile river and souvenirs etc..... everything selling at US ONE DOLLAR!!!

Luxor Temple. I have a real bad experience at the entrance of Luxor Temple. The guard at the entrance forbidded me from bringing a camera tripod into the temple, so I walked away, trying to stuff the tripod into my haversack and tried to re-enter again. This time round he said "No Camera"! I was wondering, everybody brought in cameras and started taking pictures inside. Finally, the last straw was that he asked for 1000 Egyptian Pounds (US$200). To them, big cameras indicate professionalism and that means business and money to them. *Faint!!!* Of course I did not pay them hahaha. :P

A picture taken from our cabin in "King Of the Nile" cruise ship.

As we were sailing along the Nile River, passing through Esna. We heard people shouting outside our cruise ship, so we decided to take a look outside. I was shocked! The Egyptians started to throw galabaia (traditional Egyptian costumes) and towels onto the railings outside our room. Our tour guide has told us that if we are unhappy with the attitudes of the river vendors, we can just shut our windows and take the goods. =p After a long bargaining process with the vendor, I got 2 galabaia at 70 Egyptian Pounds. Anyway we bought it for our Galabaia Night and for the fun of it. :P

Taking a Horse Carriage ride from Edfu to the Temple of Horus (second largest temple in Egypt). All the horses were in a bad condition. So pitiful of them.

Temple of Horus, the Temple was dedicated to Horus, the falcon headed god.

Kom Ombo: Sobek (the Crocodile God) and the Haroeris

Ancient Egyptian Gods

Mohammed elaborating on the pictures on the wall. Make a guess what that is??

A close up of the picture. It is a version of the Ancient Egyptian Calender.

Taking a long 3 hours bus ride, starting at 0400am to Abu Simbel, the temple of Ramesses II. The most magnificent monuments in the world. I shall not elaborate more. Let the pictures do the talking. :)

Taking a Felucca ride (the traditional sailboats of Egypt) to take in the scenery of Aswan.

Onboard the felucca, the boys manning the felucca started selling some jewelleries.
Temple of Philae. The Temple is dedicated to the Goddess of Isis, it is in a beautiful setting which has been landscaped to match its original site.

After 5 days onboard the cruise ship, we took a domestic flight to Cairo. We stayed at Sofitel Le Sphinx Cairo.

The MOST important lady in my life =)
Step Pyramids of Saqqara. Peeping through this hole on a slab of stone, we could see the statue as below.

Ancient Egyptian capital - Memphis. The gigantic statue of Ramesses II which once stood tall.

Saw this girl carrying a cute goat at a local restaurant, so I decided to take a quick snap of her. She started to ask for tips. The culture in Eqypt is always about money and tips. :(

The Great Pyramids of Giza
The camel ride around the Pyramids of Giza.

The Sphinx

Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali.

The kids from local schools having an excursion at the Mosque. The kids are so adorable! When I picked up my camera, the kids would all crowd up to me and portray various friendly gestures.

After years at the National Stadium and Padang, Singapore's 42nd birthday bash moves to the waterfront at the Marina Bay. This is also the first time National Day Parade is held at this brand new venue :P

Our 3G Soldiers with SAR 21

The flypast by F-16 jets is a traditional crowd-pleaser. =)
This year, the Navy also made its presence felt. for once, it was able to use the body of water around the stage to make waves and show off its capability.

Frankly speaking, not all photographers know what to shoot from scratch, without directions from a 3rd party, and without a clear agenda. Often, the photojournalists are sent to cover certain events, only to discover rather nondescript contents. However, we still insist on documenting the most interesting aspects of all. maybe that is what we call professionalism and that is how we are trained.
